HYBRID APPEARANCE AND GROWTH CHARACTERISTICS:
Medium plant and ear height. Produces large girthy ears with deep kernels. Ear flex potential is medium. Above average stalk and root strength provides good standability.
SITUATIONS SUITED FOR HYBRID:
Suitable for a wide variety of soils. The drought tolerance of 4144 makes it an excellent choice for lighter soils. Good gray leaf spot tolerance.
HOW TO ENHANCE PERFORMANCE:
Adjust seeding rate based on soil texture. Plant at the higher end of the listed seeding rate range on highly productive soil and the lower end for droughty soils. When planting in a corn on corn rotation, scout corn at tasseling for leaf diseases and apply fungicide if lesions are well established on lower to middle leaves.
